Nebraska Public Power District

Nebraska Public Power District, in York, NE, is a $4.2 million general contracting project Ironhide has been awarded. This is a 32,000 square foot addition that will include; Delivery Operations Training Center that will include a substation, lines, and line structures to be utilized for simulated training for construction, as well as operation and maintenance activities. Training areas will include a classroom, a control room, and a battery room. The maintenance side of this addition will be used as a wash bay for large trucks, cranes, and aerials. NPPD will also use this maintenance addition to park these large vehicles inside. Due to the floods throughout Nebraska, this caused some challenges throughout this project. Trying to hit deadlines was difficult due to this project being underwater for quite some time, which enabled our team from being onsite.
